Geoff Bennett is a dramatic story-teller. Most of the tales are 'bespoke' in nature as they have been written to suit the requirements of an audience or a topic. Most of the stories are original or adaptations. The tales are animated with audience participation using costumes, properties and scenery. Many of the stories have been developed into play form or turned into self-published books and photo-stories. Text copies of the stories can be sent in an e.mail format. Geoff has been keen to develop a 'walkie-talkie', promenade style of narration where the audience is taken from one scene to another as the tale unfolds. This has worked particularly well with the 'Green Man' adventures in Northwich and St. Helens. Geoff will be spending time in schools, this Autumn, developing local adventure stories with young story-tellers. He hopes to record the activity in book, slide-show and drama form.(See bottom, right of this page) Over recent years, some of the storytelling has developed from research into community history, linking fact with fiction.
