local artist, a group of actors, assisted by members of the Taylor Park Community, will produce and perform a 'promenade play'in Taylor Park.
The play will be performed for schools during the two week period but a special performance will be shown to the public during the afternoon of Sunday, 18th September.
VICTORIAN MUSIC HALL
The Artzone (EAZ) has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to make a community study of the Victorian Music Hall, particularly illustrated the history of the Citadel Theatre in St. Helens. This theatre was formerly known as the Theatre Royal and was the town's first music hall.
The project begins with a school based performance followed by workshops in which the children develop their own 'turns'to be performed in the actual theatre. There will also be a booklet on the findings of our archive research.
